Welcome to West London's newest Auction House - in the heart of Chiswick
Thursday, 19th April 2012
High Road Auctions will launch their new consignment form which will provide the option to donate sale proceeds to Macmillan. This feature will offer vendors a simple donation alternative and a means of supporting the charity. David Porter, auctioneer, will also be available to provide free valuations for items sold in aid of Macmillan from 2pm on Tuesday 22nd May and will be on hand to offer further information on donating to Macmillan through High Road Auctions.
Callum Mackay, Macmillan Fundraising Manager for North West London, comments ‘At Macmillan we rely heavily on voluntary income so partnerships like we have with High Road Auctions are brilliant. They are doing fantastic work not only looking to raise money but to raise awareness of the services Macmillan provide.’
Viewing for the auction will be held from Saturday 19th – Tuesday 22nd 10am-6pm and Macmillan literature such a leaflets and noticeboards will be available around the showroom. Although the auction will be held as normal at 6pm, it will be opened with a short talk by Callum Mackay, outlining who Macmillan are and the services they provide. The auction will include items offered in aid of the charity, as well as the usual mix of silver, ceramics, furniture and jewellery.
A competition will be held over the four viewing days encouraging visitors to guess the hammer price of a particular item sold on behalf of Macmillan. The Café Bar will also provide special treats and discounts.
Vendor’s rates will apply as normal with hammer prices excluding commission going directly to the vendor. However we are now accepting items to be sold on behalf of Macmillan Cancer Support. If you would like your items to be featured in the Macmillan sale with the proceeds going towards the charity, visit us seven days a week for a free valuation.
The charity auction is in addition to other events High Road Auctions has taken part in to benefit Macmillan Cancer Support. 2011 saw the auction house participate in Macmillan’s annual coffee morning and local fundraising events and organise a Christmas gift wrapping service.
