High Road Auctions announce Macmillan Cancer Research as house charity

   High Road Auctions are proud to announce that we have chosen Macmillan Cancer Support as our house charity.  Donations and funds raised by High Road Auctions will go towards supporting the charity's invaluable work in improving the lives of people affected by cancer.  Macmillan Cancer Support provides practical, medical, emotional and financial support and push for better cancer care.

 

   This is a charity particularly close to our  hearts and one that will resonate with everyone.  One in three of us will get cancer and if you or a loved one has been diagnosed, you need a team of people supporting you every step of the way.  That is who Macmillan Cancer Support are.

 

   Callum Mackay, the Macmillan Fundraising Manager for North West London, comments 'At Macmillan we rely heavily on voluntary income so partnerships like we have with High Road Auctions are brilliant.  They are doing fantastic work not only looking to raise money but to raise awareness of the services Macmillan provide'.

 

In 2011 High Road Auctions took part in a range of activities to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support and we plan to continue these into 2012.

• We participated in Macmillan's annual coffee morning to launch our partnership.
• We included a clause in our consignment form so that vendors are able to donate the proceeds of a sale to the charity.
• We took part in our local Macmillan branch's event at the Chiswick Tennis Club.  We provided free valuations alongside some of television's top antiques experts.
• We provided a gift wrapping service at Christmas with donations to Macmillan.
