Meet our team

We are a group of antiques professionals who have joined together to open a new auction house with a fresh approach. We’re passionate about all things antique and vintage and want to help make furnishing and decorating your home as easy and fun as possible. We’re sure that once you’ve been in to visit us you’ll get the auction bug too!

 

 

Andrew Polnik - Auctioneer & Valuer
Andrew has been working in the antiques and auction business for over twenty years, running both his own shop and working in other auction houses around the country.  He is able to offer expert valuation and advice about buying and selling items at auction and also organises house clearances.  Andrew is a general valuer and has an expert knowledge of most areas of art, antiques and collectables, but specialises in jewellery and objects d’vertu. 

 

 
David Porter - Auctioneer & Valuer
David’s passion for antiques began while studying History of Art at Manchester University.  After a year spent teaching at the British School in Rio de Janeiro, David returned to the UK to pursue a full time career in antiques, joining Bonhams.  He worked his way up becoming Head of Silver, during which he ran the department’s fortnightly auctions and established specialist silver sales at Bonhams Lot’s Road.  Widely acknowledged as an expert in the field, David is now a specialist consultant to several auction houses and the Metropolitan Police and has presented various art and antiques television programmes.
 

 

Richard Williams - Auction Manager & Valuer
Richard began his career working as a porter before being promoted to cataloguing and valuing responsibilities in notable London auction houses, where he worked for several years.  He gained a considerable knowledge of most areas of antiques and collectables, but specialises in furniture, glass and ceramics.

 
Jonathan Moore - Operations Manager
Jonathan has had an extensive career in auction houses, first working at Bonhams for over thirteen years as Saleroom Manager in a front of house role, while also heading the security department.  He later worked at Phillips auction house in a similar role, before becoming Gallery Manager at Auction Atrium.  Jonathan has now joined us as Operations Manager where he manages our team of porters and oversees the efficient running of the saleroom and stock.
 

 

Alistair Blackie - Auction Supervisor
Alistair studied acting at the Birmingham School of Speech and Drama before beginning an extensive career in film and theatre which included BBC Radio Four Drama and international tours.  His interest in the arts lead him to auctions and he worked at both Bonhams and Phillips as a porter for several years in various departments.

 

Jacqueline Towers-Perkins - Marketing and Research Manager
After studying English and History of Art at the University of Leeds, Jacqueline went on to gain an MA in Art Business at Sotheby's Institute where she focused on Impressionism and 20th Century European Art and gained a strong understanding of International art markets.

 
Bozena Ostapowitz - Customer Accounts Manager
After studying in Poland for several years and gaining an MA in Teaching, Bozena moved to London where she continued to study, gaining extensive qualifications in accounting, computer studies, business and administration.  After working in several business based roles, Bozena worked in a prominent London auction house for several years where she was responsible for all areas of the business from marketing and administration to training and sale organisation.  Bozena's excellent knowledge and experience of computer systems allows her to manage all the company databases and accounts while also dealing with client payments and auction administration.
 

 

Mark Cummins – Customer Service Manager

Mark worked in banking before beginning a career in art and antiques.  He worked as a porter at various London auction houses, including High Road Auctions, before taking on a client based role.  Mark also clerks the auctions and is responsible for online bidding.He is a keen collector of World War 2 militaria
 


Erica Rothwell - Customer Service Assistant
Erica previously worked as a youth and community supporter, managing youth clubs and organising public events in her native Newcastle.  Her passion for history means that she is enjoying learning about all the different antiques and collectables than come in to the auction house each day.

 

 

Michael Bateman – Porter
Michael became interested in antiques from a young age, buying and selling at auction with his father.  Michael is responsible for the organisation of the showroom and managing deliveries.

 
 
 
Jack Rickard - Porter
Jack is responsible for organising collections and deliveries and plays a vital role in setting up the weekly auction.  He is particularly interested in taxidermy and is developing quite a collection.
